Current Bag Co. is a luxury fashion and backpack company with proprietary battery technology that fuses high-end bag design with lithium ion mobile chargers. Founded in 2015, the company had been solely focused product development and supply chain logistics and needed an agency to move their product from factory shelves to consumer closets.
dpgw came on board to develop Current Bag Co.'s marketing, branding and advertising platform from the ground up. The agency completed a deep dive into the world of accessory tech apparel and developed a comprehensive launch plan for Current Bag Co. that would position the brand as a disruptive force in both the traditional and digital retail space. dpgw branded the entire launch plan under the MOVE FORWARD campaign, which is an ode to the raw and visceral sentiments of the company's forward-looking dialogues.

TAKING ADVANTAGE OF LEAD TIME
dpgw observed there was a period of "downtime" between Current Bag Co's first production run. The company had sample bags, but wasn't able to fulfill orders until their full shipment arrived.
dpgw turned that lead time into an opportunity launching a crowdfunding campaign for Current Bag Co that served three critical purposes:
• Generate positive PR for the company.
• Create a mini-campaign that would pay for itself, and remove wasted lead time.
• Serve as an organic soft launch that justified pre-orders before the full shipment of products arrive.

In tandem with Current Bag Co's digital store launch, dpgw invested in a retail pop up shop at the Grove, Los Angeles. The Grove attracts thousands of shoppers every day, and positioned during Christmas shopping season, the Current Bag Co. store offered the perfect gift for friends and family.
PAIRING IN-PERSON WITH DIGITAL ADS
dpgw paired direct marketing with strategic paid media to capitalize on the pop-up store visitors. The agency launched a geo-targeted campaign around the Grove retargeting shoppers who had seen the Current store in person. The agency further expanded digital marketing activities to include broader e-commerce Facebook & Google campaigns.
